Bathtime and other favorites

One of my very favorite times with Max is his bedtime routine. We start with a warm bubbly bath, which usually has mommy wanting to take one too; brush our teeth-a work in progress; pick out jammies- elmo's world, dinosaurs, or motorcycles; and-of course-read books. His favorites now are "Polar Bear, Polar Bear What do you Hear?" by Eric Carle and "Roll Over, Roll Over" by Penny Dale. Max is talking more and more every day. Sometimes, he won't stop talking! We are amazed by how seemingly overnight Max began repeating anything we said and talking in 2-3 word sentences. "Okay, c'mon", "I do it", "All Done", "Seepy pie", "Night Night Daddy"," Oh, Goodness". I am a proud momma. :)
Max actually says "cheese" now and then says "So Cute!"
The "mohawk" has now become the "wave" as Max's hair keeps growing.

Max and big brother Ed-Wow, can you tell they're brothers!?

Happy Halloween!

"All Done"

This Halloween was Max's first Halloween to "trick or treat". I found a sock monkey costume that was perfect for him. We first stopped at Kid's First to say trick or treat to his teachers and some of his friends. They thought he looked so cute. We then drove to one of our friend's house to "trick or treat" Max had his very own bag for all his candy-which quickly became momma and daddy's candy. We headed home after that. Just enough for Max to get a taste and most importantly so we could get some pictures! Earlier in the day I worked but we all had fun by dressing up and bringing treats to work. Sorry, everything is not in very good order. I am still in about 1st grade when it comes to blogging. :)

Max thought we should take his red car.

Curtis Orchard

This past Friday we took Max to our local "pumpkin patch" and apple orchard to pick out some pumpkins and get some honeycrisp apples. They are the crispiest crunchiest apples I've ever had. Very yummy. Max got to run around and feed goats, ride in a red wagon, help mommy and daddy pick out pumpkins, and even had his first pony ride. He made it one time around and then decided that was enough. We were delighted at the discovery of this neat little country place just a hop and skip away. We still have alot to learn about our city. Check out their website at www.curtisorchard.com.

Camping trip to Lake Shelbyville

Stick bug

This past weekend Stephen and I got to get away for some husband and wife time. Thanks so much to Grama Peters for driving all the way from Nebraska to watch our precious Max and to get some time with the "big boys" Ed & Will too. We headed south and west to beautiful Lake Shelbyville, about an hour and a half from here. We relaxed in the great outdoors with perfect weather. We just enjoyed being able to do "nothing" with our biggest decision being whether to grill bbque chicken tonight or the hamburgers. Enjoy the pics!

Weekend in Wichita

Welcome to our blog.  I finally had some time(and assistance) on actually getting some pictures posted. This past weekend we had the wonderful opportunity of visiting our family in Wichita, KS.  We got to see our precious new nephew, Wilder, for the first time and he is such an angel.  My sister Mindy and her hubby Shawn are incredible people.  We so loved being at their home.  My parents and sissy, Erin came up for one night too.  We had so much fun.  Stroller ride/walk to the park, taco salad, photo shoots, and lots and lots of gabbing.  We just enjoy and relax being together in each others company. These moments in time are so priceless to me and they are what help keep me going.  I thank God every day for my wonderful family.  I love you all!!

How do you work this thing!?

So, I was so excited to finally have a blog. As you have probably noticed, not a whole lot is going on. I am still trying to find the time to "blog" and to figure out how to work the thing. Not even for sure if this little bit will get posted. To those of you who have checked it I have not forgotten about it. :)
